How many hours are required to obtain the b/w training certificate? 
Your teenager must complete 6 hours of actual behind-the-wheel (controlling the vehicle) 
training that does not exceed two hours per day. 
Observation time does not count toward the six hours of required training time.
How Long Does it Take to Complete a Behind-The-Wheel Training Program? 
 We strongly recommend you to complete 3 training sessions as soon as possible 
You can complete your training in 3 days straight; in a week; in 2-3 weeks; or in months. 
 Per DMV, student can practice with any parent after the 1st driving lesson. 
How long is a typical training session? 
2 hrs
Can I pay by check, zelle, venmo or cash on 1st day training? 
Yes, all training fee is due before start of course - Behind the Wheel
Can I cancel my appointment? Yes
Please cancel at least 48 hours prior to the appointment time so that we have time to reschedule 
that appointment time for another student.
HI DRIVING SCHOOL POLICY 
> All packages must be completed within 6 months from the date of purchase (Expired if over 6 months) 
> Transportation fee may apply depending where you live 
> All packages must be paid on 1st day lesson. 
> Same day cancellatons will be subject to a $30 fee. 
 > All Certificate duplicates are subject to a $30 fee
 Are behind the wheel packages going to expire? 
Yes, they are going to expire 6 months from the date of purchase.
Does Hi Driving School have specific training routes? 
 No, your teenager will be driving anywhere in the area.
How to apply for a provisional permit? 
 Must be between 15 ½ to 17 ½ years of age 
 At Hi, register, pay $17, complete Driver Ed's course (11 lessons) & 
obtain Certificate of Completion of Driver Education in the mail within 1-3 days. 
 Go to the DMV to take the written test & pass 
 Sign up for our 6hrs driver training 
 Complete the behind the wheel training in 3 days
& obtain 6hrs Behind the Wheel Training Certificate 
 Practice with parents for 50 hrs in 6 months 
 Go to the DMV & pass the driving test - you'll get the license.
Can I get a replaced 6hrs driver training certificate if I lose it? 
Yes, you can but please keep your certificate in a safe place. 
We don't want to charge you $25-$250. 
We can't drop off your certificate or meet you at Hi office 
or any other places to give it to you. 
We are behind the wheel. It is dangerous to be distracted. 
 Note It takes at least five working days to get a replaced certificate by mail; 
if you come to school, you need to make appointments 2 days in advance. 
It is a lot of problem for you and us. Please understand.
What Type of Vehicle Will the Driving School Use for Training? 
All Hi vehicles are equipped with dual controls; an instructor foot brake pedal/foot gas pedal 
and an additional rear view mirror.(yearly inspection to ensure safe and proper mechanical condition)
Can we pick up the driver ed certificate at the office? 
 No, sorry for the inconvenience. Your ED certificate will be sent by mail within 24 hrs of 
your course completion . 
You will receive it in 1 to 3 days. Note: we can't send you your Driver ED certificate 
copy by mail, email or text message. Copy Certificates are not accepted at the DMV.
Are the Training Vehicles Insured? 
Yes. Hi Driving school maintains the required bodily injury and property damage liability insurance on all training vehicles.
Is More Than One teenager Student Allowed in the Vehicle During a Behind-The-Wheel Training Session? 
No, teenager student who is actually behind-the-wheel and controlling the vehicle is the one who 
receives training credit. (Exception rule: adults can train together)
May I Ride Along With my Teenager During Behind-The-Wheel Training Sessions? 
We don't allow parent riding with his/her teenager because commercial school insurance 
policy does not cover for unregistered passengers - none-students, friends, unregistered 
instructors, family members, children etc.... We can't satisfy your request.
